Evelyn Spencer, M.D. FAAP
Dr. Spencer is a native of Austin. Following graduation from Westlake High School in 1988, she went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at The University of Texas at Austin in 1992. Dr. Spencer then embarked on her medical career earning her Medical Doctorate at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at the UTHSCSA. Dr. Spencer received Certification from the American Board of Pediatrics in 1999.

Subsequently, Dr Spencer accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Pediatric Nephrology at UTHSCSA caring for children with a variety of kidney diseases. Over the next two years, she managed children on dialysis as well as during and after renal transplantation. In addition, Dr Spencer served as attending physician in general pediatrics, instructing residents and medical students on the general ward service as well as in the pediatric and neonatal intensive care units.

Dr Spencer had been working as a general pediatrician in the Northwest Austin area for eight years before opening her own practice in 2007.

Dr Spencer's husband, Cliff, left his career in order to stay home to care for their two wonderful and energetic sons and their new baby daughter. Together they are busy coaching youth soccer and volunteering at their children's schools.

Nitzia Cepeda, M.D. FAAP
Dr. Cepeda was born in Puerto Rico. She went to the University of Puerto Rico where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and finished medical school where she met her husband, a native Texan. She completed her resident training in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She went on to private practice for 2 years in the Houston area where she was also the admitting physician and a hospitalist where she acquired experience with complicated infectious diseases. She was also in charge of attending c-section deliveries and caring for premature babies.

Dr. Cepeda moved to Austin in 1995 to support her husband, Eduardo, in his new endeavor as a rheumatologist for ADC clinic. She practiced in Round Rock as a pediatrician for 2 years before starting her current practice in Northwest Austin. She also completed a 50-hour course to be a medical director of the clinic laboratory.

Dr. Cepeda has a beautiful son named Alex. Her interests include running (she has completed 2 half-marathons and a triathlon) and spending time with her family. Dr. Cepeda is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is fluent in Spanish.

Hortensia Sosa – Receptionist
Hortensia has been in the medical field since 2000. She started in a small pediatric office as a translator. In 2001 she moved to another pediatric office where she became a receptionist. Hortensia has three teenage children, twin boys and a girl. She enjoys spending time with family and playing volleyball in her free time.

Shasta Amador – Office Manager / Certified Medical Assistant
Shasta has been in pediatrics for eight years working along –side Dr. Spencer. She graduated from Southern Careers Institute of Austin. Shasta is happily married and has three sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing softball, working with kids and being active at the church she attends.
