Dr. Spencer is a native of Austin. Following graduation from Westlake High School in 1988, she went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at The University of Texas at Austin in 1992. Dr. Spencer then embarked on her medical career earning her Medical Doctorate at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at the UTHSCSA. Dr. Spencer received Certification from the American Board of Pediatrics in 1999.
She remained at the UTHSCSA as an assistant professor of pediatrics in the department of nephrology. During her one and a half year tenure at this position, she cared for children with a variety of kidney diseases. Dr. Spencer managed children with renal failure on dialysis and during and after renal transplantation.
After marrying her husband, Cliff, she returned to Austin and has been in private practice in general pediatrics in the northwest Austin area. Dr. Spencer has two wonderful boys. She enjoys spending time with her family engaged in the many outdoor activities Austin offers.

Dr. Cepeda was born in Puerto Rico. She went to the University of Puerto Rico where she achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. She attended medical school at the Universidad del Caribe where she met her husband, a native Texan. She completed her resident training in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She practiced two years in Houston, before moving to Austin to support her husband, Eduardo, in his new endeavor as a rheumatologist.
Dr. Cepeda recently had a new addition to her family, her son Alexander. Her interests include running (she recently completed a half-marathon) and spending time with her family. Dr. Cepeda is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is fluent in Spanish.

Angelica graduated from National Institute of Technology where she received her certification as a medical assistant. Angelica has been in the medical field since 2005. She is bilingual and has been with the practice since August 2007, where she became Dr. Cepeda’s nurse. Angelica really enjoys spending time her husband and two boys.

Hortensia has been in the medical field since 2000. She started in a small pediatric office as a translator. In 2001 she moved to another pediatric office where she became a receptionist. Hortensia has three teenage children, twin boys and a girl. She enjoys spending time with family and playing volleyball in her free time.

Shasta has been in pediatrics for eight years working along –side Dr. Spencer. She graduated from Southern Careers Institute of Austin. Shasta is happily married and has three sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing softball, working with kids and being active at the church she attends.

Terri attended Allied Health Careers and has 10 years experience in pediatric with 7 years of OB-GYN. She joined Jollyville Pediatrics in January 2008. She is happily married with three children, one boy and two girls. She enjoys walking, watching sports, cheering with her daughter and attending her son’s baseball games.
